DESCRIPTION:Get in the holiday spirit with a visit to Hanby House! \nJoin the Westerville Historical Society for a celebration of the holidays in the historic home specially decorated for the occasion\, with music in the parlor and sweet treats in the adjacent Shoemaker Cottage. \nThe home of Ben Hanby\, composer of Up on the Housetop will be open to the public for this annual showcase. The Hanby House is located at 160 E. Main St.\, in the heart of the Otterbein University campus. \nChristmas Open House hours for 2024 will be: \n\nFrom 7-9 p.m. Tuesday\, Dec. 3\nFrom 7-9 p.m. Thursday\, Dec. 5; and\nFrom 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday\, Dec. 7\n\nNo admittance fee — Donations encouraged. \nThe Hanby House is owned by the Ohio History Connection and managed by the Westerville Historical Society. \nOn the National Registry of Historic sites\, the house museum is furnished with items depicting the lifestyle of a family of modest means in the 1850s.
