SUMMARY:Otterbein Theatre: All My Sons
DESCRIPTION:During the war Joe Keller and Steve Deever ran a machine shop which made airplane parts. Deever was sent to prison because the firm turned out defective parts\, causing the deaths of many men. Keller went free and made a lot of money. The twin shadows of this catastrophe and the fact that the young Keller son was reported missing during the war dominate the action. The love affair of Chris Keller and Ann Deever\, the bitterness of George Deever returned from the war to find his father in prison and his father’s partner free\, are all set in a structure of almost unbearable power. The climax showing the reaction of a son to his guilty father is fitting conclusion to a play electrifying in its intensity. \nThe Arthur Miller classic ALL MY SONS is presented by special arrangement with Broadway Licensing\, LLC\, servicing the Dramatists Play Service collection. \nAudience Advisory:ALL MY SONS Contains adult and suicide themes that may be disturbing for some audience members. \nProduction TeamDirected by Mark MineartScenic Design by Isaac RamseyCostume Design by Rebecca White

SUMMARY:Westerville Symphony - Masterworks I
DESCRIPTION:The season begins with a concert that is as bold and imaginative as it is beautiful — a true visual and musical spectacle. \n Opening the program is Toast of the Town by Quinn Mason\, one of today’s most exciting young voices in American music. A rising Black composer whose works have already been performed by major orchestras across the country\, Mason writes with wit\, energy\, and heart. His music captures the spirit of a new generation\, and with a title that nods to community and celebration\, Toast of the Town is the perfect way to launch our season here in Westerville.\n \nInternationally acclaimed saxophonist Kenneth Tse then takes center stage in Lowell Liebermann’s Saxophone Concerto\, a brilliant showpiece that blends dazzling virtuosity with soaring lyricism. Tse’s artistry and expressive power promise to make this performance unforgettable. \n After intermission\, French refinement meets theatrical flair in Maurice Ravel’s rarely performed Sémiramis.\n \nAnd to close\, the Symphony unveils a completely reimagined version of Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite (1919) — paired with stunning new visual projections by Spork Design. This multimedia experience transforms Stravinsky’s legendary score into a breathtaking spectacle of sound and image\, an event unlike anything Westerville has ever seen.\n \nThis Concert Also Includes Our Annual WARM Food Drive!\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nJoin the Westerville Symphony in supporting the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). Bring nonperishable food items to the concert and help us make a difference in our community while celebrating an unforgettable night of music. \n🎟️ Special Offer: Bring 10 canned goods and receive a free concert ticket at the door! 🎟️ \nIf you would like to support the families WARM serves by donating food or household supplies\, below is a list of the most needed items. \n\n\nCanned meat (chicken\, tuna\, etc) \n\n\nCanned pasta \n\n\nPeanut butter \n\n\nPaper products (toilet paper\, paper towels) \n\n\nCanned beans (any variety) \n\n\nSoups \n\n\nDetergent (laundry\, dishwasher) \n\n\nCondiments (ketchup\, mustard\, mayo\, etc) \n\n\nRice (brown or white) \n\n\nCanned veggies (any variety) \n\n\nThank you for helping the Westerville Symphony be an active partner in our community — bringing great art to the stage and meeting vital food needs for our neighbors. SUMMARY:Otterbein Theatre: The Importance of Being Ernest
DESCRIPTION:A trivial comedy for serious people\, The Importance of Being Earnest is an entertaining comedy sparkling with charm\, wit\, and hilarity. Cucumber sandwiches and petticoats set the environment for this classic British farce on the aristocracy\, which has become a standard of the English and American theatres. Jack and Algernon are set on winning the affections of two beautiful maidens and their wild scheming results in mistaken identities\, secret engagements\, and unexpected entanglements.
