About Stagecoach Mary
Mary Fields (1832-1914) – also known as Stagecoach Mary – was a tough woman that didn’t take any stuff! She broke quite a few noses in Montana, worked on a Mississippi River steamboat, worked for nuns in Toledo, and was a contractor for the United States Postal Service. The people of Great Falls Montana loved her and would celebrate her birthday twice a year!
