There’s always something happening Uptown!
Join us for some of our smaller, more intimate events
In addition to Uptown Westerville Inc.’s big weekly, monthly and annual events, we stage several smaller activities throughout the year.
Staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions, these smaller-setting, more intimate events aim to share Uptown’s history, involve residents and keep the fun flowing in our historic Uptown Commercial District.
Most of these events are walking tours. Those with limited space require a paid ticket to participate — so we can afford the Good Medicine Production entertainers who help us stage them. Mark your calendars to check out these wonderful Uptown events in the coming year.

Westerville Art Hop
April 20, 2024, 1-5 p.m.
Join us as Uptown Westerville becomes an art gallery! Artists will be located throughout Uptown at more than 30 businesses. The artists will be demonstrating their work, with all art available for purchase. Come out to support local artists, the Arts Council of Westerville and Uptown businesses and also enjoy live music and free activities for children at the “Kiddie Hop” located at City Hall.
Uptown Epic Beer Walk
Saturdays, April-October
STARTING APRIL 20: Where Westerville history meets beer: The two-hour walking tour will focus on historical information about Westerville and the Anti-Saloon League, plus teach people about beer and sample a few beverages.
The Uptown Epic Beer Walk tours will be staged by Epic Beer Trips (epicbeertrips.com), with history lessons based on the Uptown Westerville Inc. book by Joe Meyer, Westerville: The War Machine of Prohibition.
Beer samples for this tour will be served at North High Brewing Company, 240 S. State St., and Fattey Beer Company, 79 S. State St. The Uptown Epic Beer Walks for 2024 will take place from 2-4 p.m. each Saturday, from April 6-Oct. 26, rain or shine.
Uptown Ghost Tours
September & October
Presenting stories collected from the Uptown community combined into a theatrical, largely historcial and highly entertaining walking tour. Staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions, the Uptown Ghost Tours begin at the Otterbein Cemetery, 175 S. Knox St., and conclude at the Old Bag of Nails Pub housed in Westerville’s historic Weyant Building, 24 N. State St. Friday and Saturday evenings in September and October, plus Halloween night.

Uptown Clue
Saturdays, June 1-July 8
An outdoor walking tour murder mystery, inspired by the classic board game Clue, staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions. Participants are the team of detectives who go on an outdoor adventure of Uptown Westerville guided by an ensemble of ridiculous characters. The audience and ensemble all work together to solve an absurd & mysterious crime. This unique experience uses comedic performance, improvisation, audience participation and innovative storytelling to make for a delightful night for the whole family.

Uptown Cookie Walk
(Concluded for 2024)
Join residents and visitors on a tour through the heart of Westerville’s historic Uptown district and visit shops and businesses, each offering a variety of gourmet cookies during the annual Uptown Cookie Walk! Return your completed tour map for a chance to win gift cards to Northstar Cafe! Event concluded for 2024. Check back for 2025 details early next year!
