There’s always something happening Uptown!
Join us for some of our smaller, more intimate events
In addition to Uptown Westerville Inc.’s big weekly, monthly and annual events, we stage several smaller activities throughout the year.
Staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions, these smaller-setting, more intimate events aim to share Uptown’s history, involve residents and keep the fun flowing in our historic Uptown Commercial District.
Most of these events are walking tours. Those with limited space require a paid ticket to participate — so we can afford the Good Medicine Production entertainers who help us stage them. Mark your calendars to check out these wonderful Uptown events in the coming year.

Uptown Cookie Walk
(Concluded for 2025)
Embark on a delightful journey through the heart of Westerville’s historic district during the annual Uptown Cookie Walk: Chocolate Invasion Edition! Explore 20 unique shops and businesses, each offering a gourmet cookie or an Anthony Thomas Chocolate treat to make your visit even sweeter. Attendees will also be given an Uptown Cookie walk shopping bag to hold their treats!
Our 2025 Uptown Cookie Walk was held Saturday, March 1. We look forward to seeing everyone again for the 2026!
Westerville Art Hop 2025
Noon-4 p.m. Saturday, April 26 — CONCLUDED FOR 2025
Enjoy a celebration of art modalities across Uptown Westerville at the 2025 Art Hop! Areas to explore:

- The Westerville Historical Society will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the installation of the iconic Uptown marquee on the State Theater building, now home to Los Altos restaurant. Members will do short walking tours of Uptown’s three historic theaters. Times to be determined.
- and … the Kid’s Art Hop at Rotary Park, with crafts and music!
Uptown Clue
Concluded for 2025
An outdoor walking tour murder mystery, inspired by the classic board game Clue, staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions. Participants are the team of detectives who go on an outdoor adventure of Uptown Westerville guided by an ensemble of ridiculous characters. The audience and ensemble all work together to solve an absurd & mysterious crime. This unique experience uses comedic performance, improvisation, audience participation and innovative storytelling to make for a delightful night for the whole family. Begins at Birdie Books, 74 N. State St. 2025 tours: 4:30 and 7 p.m. Saturdays, May 31-June 28.
The W Files
Select Dates in July & August 2025
NEW! You won’t believe what happened here! The Westerville Files is a storytelling walking tour that unlocks the hidden, quirky, and surprising stories behind the city’s historic district. Tours begin and end at the Westerville Public Library, 126 S. State St.
The W Files will be presented beginning Saturday, July 12, then Friday and Saturday July 18-19; and Thursday, Friday and Saturday Aug. 7-9, Aug. 14-16, and Aug 28-30. Thursday and Saturday shows only Aug. 21, 23.
The 45-minute tour takes place beginning at 7 p.m. on offered Thursdays and Fridays, and at 6:30 and 8 p.m. on offered Saturdays. Click the TICKETS button below to choose your dates!
Uptown Ghost Tours
Sept. 26 – Nov. 1, 2025
Presenting stories collected from the Uptown community combined into a theatrical, largely historical and highly entertaining walking tour. Staged in cooperation with Good Medicine Productions, the Uptown Ghost Tours begin at the Otterbein Cemetery, 175 S. Knox St., and conclude at the Old Bag of Nails Pub housed in Westerville’s historic Weyant Building, 24 N. State St.
Presented for 2025 on Friday and Saturday evenings Sept. 26 through Nov. 1, with two shows offered most nights, including Halloween! Click on the tickets link below to choose your tour!
