Uptown Eye Care is a full-service optometry office.

We serve patients as young as 6 months of age through the InfantSee public health initiative.

We provide routine eye exams for children and adults.

We perform contact lens fittings, monitor ocular disease conditions and do low vision evaluations.

We have an optical boutique on site with a large selection of eyewear.

In the near future, we will even be able to edge many of your single vision lenses in house, providing same day service and for your glasses and the ultimate convenience for you!

Our office: An Uptown Treasure

Our office was built in 1883 as a residential home. It was converted to a medical office and at one time was both a dentist and optometrist’s office.

Dr. John Parrish has been practicing at this location since the 1970s and has transferred the care of his patients to Dr. Misty Bauder in 2016 as he entered retirement.

We have a parking lot behind our office.  You enter our parking lot via East Lincoln Street.
