Step behind the scenes of the Westerville Public Library during this special Ohio Open Doors tour. Discover how three distinct building eras—from an 1850s home and the Anti-Saloon League headquarters to the original 1955 library and modern renovations—came together to create today’s library. Explore public and staff-only spaces, including the Westerville History Museum’s collections storage area, while learning about the rich history of the library and the Westerville community.

Miniature Horses | Dreams on Horseback

Discover the world of miniature horses in this fun, educational program presented by Dreams on Horseback. Learn about horse care, equipment, and health while observing live miniature horses up close. After the presentation, participants can explore hay, feed, and other hands-on materials. Live animals will be present, and if touching is permitted, a signed waiver from a caregiver (18+) will be required. Children ages 6–7 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver throughout the event.

Don’t Let the Pigeon Take Over Storytime!

Join us for a super silly storytime celebrating one of Mo Willems’ most beloved characters—the Pigeon! Kids will enjoy engaging stories, rhymes, songs, and a themed craft to wrap up the fun. This program is designed for children ages 0–7, and a parent or caregiver (18+) must remain in the room for the duration of the event. Please note that Pigeon won’t be making an appearance this time—he has a very busy schedule!
