Garlic scapes

Garlic scapes are the edible flower buds and stems of hardneck garlic plants. They are long, curly, and deep green, and can look like long green beans when harvested (photo in slideshow below).

Garlic scapes are in season in late spring and early summer, and are often found at farmers markets and specialty stores. They are a bit milder than garlic cloves, which makes them the perfect base for pesto, an addition to stir fries, or even eaten straight up sauteed with a little salt.

Oil Dipping Mix

Castle View Farms’ fine blend of fresh garlic and other spices is the perfect addition to your favorite virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Delicious for bread dipping, as a salad dressing or marinade.  Your imagination can be your guide!  Each packet of dipping mix contains four easy-to-make servings for your family or guests.

Uptown Art and Clay

Uptown Art and Clay will be making its debut at the Westerville Saturday Farmers Market on June 1. Representatives will be doing “paint your own ceramics.” Adults and children welcome! Parents can let their child paint while they shop!

UAC also will have ceramic garden art pieces for sale.
