Westerville Field of Heroes is a Memorial Day tradition that honors and remembers our heroes.

The annual Field of Heroes, presented by the Westerville Sunrise Rotary Club, offers multiple experiences from May 22-25, 2026.

The event is at the Westerville Sports Complex at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and County Line Road West.

The field displays 3,000 American flags in perfect rows. The Field of Heroes is especially moving when the flags are illuminated after dark. The field is open 24 hours a day through the weekend.

Sunday, May 24th

8:00 a.m. Field of Heroes 5k Run/Walk Presented by Ohio Health

12:00 p.m. Reading of names on dedicated flags (Westerville Veterans Memorial)

1:00-3:00 p.m. Pioneer Cemetery Tour* presented by the Westerville Historical Society

8:30 p.m. “Taps” – Field Illuminated until Dawn

9:00 p.m. Flag, Challenge Coin & Poppy Sales close for the night

The Westerville Sunrise Rotary and The Westerville Historical Society are presenting a Cemetery Walk Program on Sunday, May 24 from 1-3 at Pioneer Cemetery on South State St. Learn

about the history of pioneers, Revolutionary War veterans and a fort that was built on the grounds of today’s cemetery. The event is free and open to the public. No parking in the cemetery. Parking available at W.A.R.M.
