Apr 16, 2025

singer-songwriters visualThe Westerville Art Hop on Saturday, April 26 will showcase dozens of visual artists and several singer-songwriters as well. But for visitors who like dance, theater and classical music, talented performing artists will be in the mix, too.

The free Art Hop event, taking place at locations across historic Uptown Westerville from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, April 26, will include multiple performances by dance students at the Generations Performing Arts Center, multiple performances of 10 Silly Things in 20 Silly Minutes – the latest production from Good Medicine Productions – and swanky “Bridgerton Springtime Affair” performances from Westerville Symphony string musicians, at the Blue Turtle Tea & Spice shop.

Generations dance performances

Dancers of various disciplines and ages will perform on the half-hour during the Hop at Generations, 11 W. College Ave.

Performances are set for 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m., with a possible encore at 3:30 if it is busy all day.

Generations instructors also will invite visitors to have a little fun, through learning a basic dance to the Meghan Trainor song, Better When I’m Dancin’.

“We will be teaching everyone who comes to Generations a short piece of choreography that our students learn,” said Angie Haver, Generations founder. “It’s just a fun piece that everyone can learn from all ages.”

Good Medicine presents ‘10 Silly Things in 20 Silly Minutes’

Westerville’s homegrown theater troop, Good Medicine Productions, will present its newest original production, 10 Silly Things in 20 Silly Minutes. Performances will take place at 1, 2 and 3 p.m., also at the Generations Performing Arts Center, 11 W. College.

“Chaos, comedy, and clowning collide in this fast-paced, interactive spectacle! Starring the mischievous Good Medicine Specialists, this whirlwind of songs, improv, and absolute mayhem delivers ten delightfully ridiculous antics in just 20 minutes. Expect the unexpected, embrace the absurd, and get ready for nonstop fun!” reads the show description from Good Medicine.

‘A Bridgerton Springtime Affair’

The Westerville Symphony issued the following invite to their performance during the Art Hop. The event is jointly presented by the Symphony and the venue, the recently relocated Blue Turtle Tea & Spice shop, 13 E. College Ave.

“Embrace the blossoming beauty of spring as the Westerville Symphony and Blue Turtle Tea & Spice create a delightful ‘Bridgerton’ enclave in Uptown Westerville. On Saturday, April 26th, during the vibrant Westerville Art Hop, from 12 PM to 4 PM, step into a world of art, music, and springtime elegance. Let the delicate melodies of violin and harp, performed by the Westerville Symphony, fill the tea shop, while you discover Blue Turtle Tea & Spice’s new spring blends, each infused with a touch of Regency-era charm. Savor delicate teas and the beautiful music, a perfect prelude to the spring season’s refreshing infusions and enchanting melodies.

“Delight in the limited-edition ‘April Showers’ and ‘May Flowers’ teas, and enjoy a special ten percent savings when acquiring both. As a special gift of spring, all guests will receive a unique ‘Pay-what-you-like’ ticket for the Westerville Symphony’s Season Finale, set for 5 p.m. the following day, Sunday, April 27, at Otterbein University’s Cowan Hall.

“Join us for a truly memorable springtime celebration!”
