Tomorrow’s Fourth Friday will bring summer energy to Uptown
Dynamic performer Chuck Starr and his band will headline Uptown Westerville Inc’s June Fourth Friday street festival, set for 6 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, June 27.
And as usual, State Street across the length of historic Uptown will be hopping for the festival.
Entertainers, food trucks, more than 100 vendor booths, and multiple specialty feature areas will be set up to visit with friends and family. Adults can take advantage of Uptown’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, and stroll about with adult beverages sold by several Uptown establishments.
State Street closes to vehicular traffic – from Walnut Street on the south to Home Street on the north – as the city’s main thoroughfare through the historic Uptown District becomes part of the festival, presented by Mount Carmel-St. Ann’s Hospital.
Newman Roofing Summer Concert Series
Chuck Starr and his high-energy band headline the June 27 Summer Concert Series performance, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Due to construction on the expansion of Westerville City Hall this summer, the concert series takes place in front of Hanby Elementary School, 56 S. State St.
More June 27 Fourth Friday highlights
Arts Alley from the Arts Council of Westerville will again set up in the parking lots of 79 S. State St. (just south of Park Street) with exhibits and activities for all ages. Singers and acoustic guitarists Amy Evans and Bob McCann will perform.
Entertainment: Extraordinary juggler and entertainer Brian Koenig will return June 27 to wow Fourth Friday crowds. Find him at the center of the crowd at State & Main streets.
Science Street will set up on East College Avenue, with a visit from COSI’s mobile exhibit and Westerville scientist Jack Brown. Brown’s June 27 program will be “Galileo’s Telescope & The Moon.” Science Street at Fourth Fridays features engaging, hands-on, STEAM-focused demonstrations and activities (STEAM education = Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics), sponsored for 2025 by The Westerville Fund.
The Westerville Public Library will stage a Williams Grill Ice Cream Social on its front lawn at 126 S. State St. Hosted in partnership with the Westerville Historical Society and with the support of Whit’s Custard for the ice cream, the event celebrates the Local History Museum’s new exhibit about the Williams Grill. Located where Asterisk Supper Club is today, the Williams Grill served ice cream and food from 1927-1975, and served as a social hub of the community.
Generations Performing Arts Center students across several age levels will perform on West College Avenue during Fourth Friday, in front of Generations, 11 W. College Ave.
Bike parking behind Los Altos: Pedal to Fourth Friday and into the weekend with style! Fourth Friday Bike Parking is being provided at a new location for 2025, behind Los Altos, in the parking lot adjacent to the gazebo, hosted by Keller Williams Realty Greater Columbus – The Romanelli Group and the Westerville Bike Shop, from 6-9 p.m. Ride Uptown, lock up your bikes, and enjoy 4th Friday!
Pet Safety
We love your furry friends, and we know they’re part of the family! That said, do note that Fourth Friday can be a high-energy event with large crowds, loud music, hot pavement, and limited shade or water – factors that can be tough on pets.
For their safety and comfort, we kindly encourage you to consider leaving them at home, especially during hot weather or peak crowd times. If you do choose to bring your pet, please be sure they’re well-hydrated, on a secure leash, and comfortable in busy environments.
Thanks for helping us keep Fourth Friday fun and safe for everyone – two-legged and four-legged alike.
Public restrooms
Public restrooms will be located at Slaughter Alley (east of State, near Snyder’s Bakery) and at the southwest corner of Park and State streets.
