Tasty food selections will be offered by several Uptown eateries

Sure, the main attraction at 2025’s Uptown Untapped craft brew festival will be the excellent beer offered by 18 Ohio breweries in attendance.

But several Westerville eateries will be stepping up for Untapped as well, offering tasty selections of prepared food for festivalgoers. Be sure to visit the tents of our local eateries at Untapped as you enjoy the festival!

Uptown Untapped 2025 will take place from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 all along the first block of East Main Street in historic Uptown Westerville.

Culinary teams from Asterisk Supper Club, Cardinal Pizza, Meza Wine Shop, North High Brewing Co. and the Old Bag of Nails will bring the goods. Here’s a preview of the 2025 Untapped food menu:

• Chicken and lemongrass gyoza, with sweet chili ginger dipping sauce

Asterisk Supper Club

• Smoked wings, with choice of ranch or blue cheese

• Smash Burger – Seasoned beef patty with shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, pickled red onions, house made pickles, melted cheese, and north high sauce
• Beer Cheese Burger – Seasoned beef patty with pale ale caramelized onions, melted cheese, house made pickles, served on a pretzel bun with a side of our North High beer cheese
• Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese – Pasta shells, three cheese blend, secret buffalo sauce, braised pulled chicken
• Street Corn Salad V/GF – Roasted corn, black beans, red onions, cilantro, zesty chipotle aioli, tajin seasoned tortilla strips

Epic Beer Trips sponsors Early Tasting Hour

The local company Epic Beer Trips again will be an Uptown Untapped sponsor in 2025, this year backing Untapped’s Early Admission Tasting Hour.

Untapped 2025 runs from 6-10 p.m. Aug. 9, but those who purchase tickets to the Early Admission Tasting Hour are admitted at 5 p.m. and receive a signature Uptown Untapped 4-ounce tasting glass, to sample first-pour selections from the 18 craft breweries attending – before any taps run dry! Check out the 2025 Untapped Beers Menu and chart your tastings.

Early Admission Tasting Hour tickets are $50 and include the $15 general admission ticket to attend Untapped from 6-10 p.m.

Westerville South 1977 graduate Kurt Sima – also known as “Captain Kurt” – founded Epic Beer Trips in 2020, following an accomplished career in marketing and media consulting.

The business organizes small-group beer tours of cities in Europe, combining “traveling the globe, drinking beer and having fun,” according to the company’s website, EpicBeerTrips.com.
